Hope City Church Tucson is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Jeff Logsdon
Lead Pastor
What brought you to Hope City? I am passionate about starting healthy churches that serve the local community
Why do you love our community on 22nd Street? The people in our neighborhood are diverse and in many cases impoverished. Because they often get overlooked it is a privilege to be able to actively serve the needs in our community.
Where are you from originally? The City of Upland in Southern California near Mt. Baldy.
What is your favorite pastime? So many. Running marathons. Biking. Watching football. Reading leadership books. Learning from dynamic people in our community. Watching movies. These are a few of the things I like to do.
Share about a place you would love to visit. I would love to experience Kauai together with Heather and our kids. The Maldives would be another place I would love to go. Visiting all of the Presidential Libraries would be cool, too.
What scripture inspires you? Jesus prayed to the Father, "I have brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work that you gave me to do." (John 17:4) Imagine what it would be like to live every day with that kind of focus--listening to God's promptings and being bold enough to act on them! I want to live like that.

What brought you to Hope City? God showed my family that we needed Hope City and that He could use us there. It started with a connection to the youth ministry for our daughter, and we recognized that this was a place where people were not just attending church but were trying to live out being the church. People here are genuine, encouraging, caring, supporting and have the mindset to help others, and that is how we want to be.
Why do you love our community on 22nd Street? It has a lot of character. This is now an older part of Tucson, mostly built in the 50's and 60's, and some of the people we meet are lifelong residents. People still know most of their neighbors and they still try to take care of their community. I've seen people doing yard work for neighbors, stopping their walks to chat and make sure someone is well, and lending a hand or providing a meal because they care. It's great to see that not everyone is disconnected, and that people still make an effort to show grace and love.
Where are you from originally? Wayne County, Ohio. Home of rural farms, corn, strawberry and soybean fields and several Amish communities.
What is your favorite pastime? Driving, especially somewhere new to see places and things I have not experienced before. I also like reading and writing. Camping, canoeing and kayaking would also rank high on a list of favorite pastimes.
Share about a place you would love to visit. The region around Lake Thun, Canton of Bern, Switzerland. I can trace my family tree to this area and seeing pictures of this place have only increased my desire to go. The mountains are immense, the grass fields are greener than one could imagine, and the water is a brilliant blue. There are majestic waterfalls and postcard views in every direction. But I would have to go when there is little snow.
What scripture inspires you? John 3:36. It's got a bit of the same message that John 3:16 shares, but with a reminder that we need to love, serve and obey God before the opportunity to do so is no longer available to us.Jaime Amstutz

What brought you to Hope City? We had moved to the neighborhood and were checking out churches in the area. Everyone was welcoming and we felt a great connection. Then God showed us that He wanted us at Hope City.
Why do you love our community on 22nd Street? I am a social person and I love sharing life with people. There are some wonderful people in this community, and right now I'm really getting to know the youth in the community, from all walks of life. As I am getting to know them and watch them grow, it increases my care for the community that they are becoming a part of and I want to help them feel connected to this community and invested in it so they will want to see it improve and thrive.
Where are you from originally? Worchester, Massachusetts, but been in Tucson most of my life
What is your favorite pastime? Being creative. I love to knit and crochet, paint and cook and make other things, and I love to sing. I also am a big fan of watching movies.
Share about a place you would love to visit. I would love to see more of Hawaii. Oahu was interesting and Maui was absolutely amazing, and there is only so much that you can see on one trip and I feel like another couple of trips there are needed.
What scripture inspires you? Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. It was one of the first verses that I memorized years ago, and I have a wall plaque with that verse on it in my home. It reminds me to have faith in God regardless of what I think I know or what I'm scared of.
